Abstract
The development of the virtual university and its influence on the education of architects is based on awareness that digital information processing and distance computer communication are a new quality leap in educational systems. The virtual university radically democratizes educational access and potentials for the broadest population regardless of age and any other differences. In this framework university schools of architecture and design may also find new developmental possibilities.
