Abstract
Precise calibration of geodetic calibration baselines is performed by means of light interferometers, precise electro-optical distance meters and GNSS. The paper presents an overview of 14 geodetic calibration baselines in 11 states in the world that are calibrated with one or more precise methods. Calibrated precise electro-optical distance meters present a standard for the transfer of traceable scale to new geodetic calibration baselines. Further calibration on geodetic calibration baselines can be done using independent methods, which provides the control of measuring results. The presented results offer the data obtained during the last calibration of the geodetic calibration baseline of the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb, using precise electro-optical distance meter and GPS. The calibration parameters at all 14 geodetic calibration baselines have been analysed. The measuring uncertainty of the longest calibrated distance has been indicated as the most important calibration parameter for each geodetic calibration baseline with the appropriate expansion factor.
