Abstract

Muscle strength is an important measurement feature in physiotherapy because it contributes to the objectification of assessment and performance measurement. Muscle strength is most often measured with hand-held dynamometers. Dynamometry is a valid and reliable method in clinical physiotherapy. Literature data suggests neuromuscular phenomena that are responsible for muscle strength and their interrelationship. In this paper, the distribution of skeletal muscle forces and their connections are presented. Neuromuscular phenomena that cause such a distribution are also considered. The examination of muscle forces was performed within the internal scientific project „Examination of the connection between health habits, physical activity and muscle strength” of Libertas International University.
