Abstract

The fruits of the Second Vatican Council, the democratisation of society, a new concept of faith and the religious, the characteristics of different views, a way of life in which the faithful in Croatia find themselves, all of these influence the necessary process of the changing perceptions of the parish community. In the spirit of existential ecclesiology of the Second Vatican Council, the author reflects on the cooperative relationships within the parish community. The parish is presented as a community of communities. For the Church to qualitatively function as a community of communities there must be within it the cooperative relations and correct communication between its members. This encourages all members of the parish community to progressively communicate. A preliminary investigation has been taken amongst students of the pastoral diaconate year 2002/2003 on the willingness of candidates for the priesthood to communicatively cooperate at all levels within the parish community.
