Abstract

I tried to bring this topic closer to students through an interdisciplinary approach, using different teaching materials, methods of work and social forms of learning. Through their work, students were maximally engaged and through lessons on dissecting marine organisms and researching the impact of fishing on the Adriatic ecosystem, showed strong motivation to study the material reality and expressed interest in sustainable management of natural resources of the Adriatic Sea. I conducted the teaching activities through the following activities: dissection of blue fish (mackerel), the importance of shellfish for the ecosystem, fishery biology, fishing tools and their impact on the marine ecosystem. Through the group form of work and with the use of prepared methodical sheets, students independently and with the help of teachers acquired new knowledge through an interdisciplinary approach.
