Post-Cold War Relations between the US and China

Abstract
In the post Cold War period of international relations the PRC has become a significant area for the American foreign policy. China is an important economic, political and diplomatic partner. At the same time, the American presence in Asia is also connected with the development of relations with the PRC. The Clinton administration pursued after the policy of active engagement, which will probably be continued by President Bush.
