Abstract

The author of this paper deals with the religious practices of Marcion heretics from Pont to affirm their relation to gnostic groups and early Christianity of those times. In addition to this, the potential influences, as well as common similarities and differences of already mentioned views, are to be discussed. For this purpose, various elements of Marcion’s religious thought, including the attitude towards differences between The Old Testament and The New Testament and the attitude towards Jesus Christ and his actions, along with its practical ways of implementation during the second century will be analyzed.
