Abstract

Article deals with interamerican relations during the George W. Bush' s administration as well as their future. Analyzing first Bush's mandate the accent was placed on economic and political issues, whilst analyzing the second one the attention was focused on analysts views of American policy toward Latin America. Author concludes that current challenges facing USA in Latin America (Hugo Chavez, left-wing administrations, China's influence) are not sufficient to make Latin America a foreign policy priority to the USA.
