Compatibility and Comparability of Measurements and Test Results

Abstract

On the basis of the definition of repeatability, its significance in application by comparison of mutually independent measurement results is described. This implies with repeated experiments new term the repeatable measurements in the case of closeness of agreement between test results obtained at the time displaced measurements. The concepts of compatibility and comparability of measurements, as well as their significance in application are being analyzed.
