Abstract

During 2003 and 2004, the NA48/2 experiment at the CERN SPS has collected a large sample of charged kaon decays. Using 2003 data, the form factors of the K± → π +π −e ±ν (Ke4) have been evaluated, allowing the extraction of the ππ scattering lengths a 0 0 and a 2 0 . From the 2003 plus most of the 2004 statistics, an independent determination of the same parameters has been made through the interpretation of an anomaly (cusp) in the π 0π 0 invariant mass (M00) distribution of the decay K± → π ±π 0π 0 , observed in the region around M00 = 2m+, where m+ is the charged pion mass.
