Abstract

Starting from the scattering amplitude in the second Born approximation an optical potential for elastic scattering o f electrons on complex atoms is obtained. Proposed optical model gives the possibility of direct determination of the high-energy elastic scattering cross-section in the second Born approximation. General theoretical results are applied to the e-He and e-0 collisions. Results of the calculations are compared with the experimental data as well as with the more exact calculations.
