Abstract

The article shows that the name and biography of the Russian author Fedor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, as well as his works, containing specific motives, names of heroes from his prose, citations etc. live in contemporary Russian prose. Elements such as typical narrative strategies, religious-philosophical ideas, “eternal questions” from novels and short stories written by Dostoevsky, are reimagined and transformed in contemporary Russian literature, and live in this new form in the prose of V. Pelevin, V. Sorokin, E. Vodolazkin, Z. Prilepin,
B. Akunin and other contemporary Russian authors.
