Abstract

We have tried with this article to present two at the first glance different conceptions on art and poetry, penned by a poet Paul Celan and by a philosopher Martin Heidegger. With that purpose primarily we have considered Celan's intention to overcome the negative aspects of contemporary art by means of poetry in the indirect and dialectical mode. In addition, the article follows Heidegger's philosophical notions striving to present that poetry is still making the essence of the artistic as such. The author of this article confirms and makes explicit that both the poet and the philosopher have a clear intention to determine the true nature of the art, where this approach reveals certain differences, however, leaving the space for the possibility of dialogue.
