Abstract

Vertical circle calibration for geodetic instruments is essential for ensuring the accuracy of vertical angle measurements in various geodetic applications. This paper presents an overview of the developed measurement systems, methods and comparator constructions, the calibration processes and the main sources of uncertainty affecting calibration accuracy. An analysis and comparison of key comparator parameters were conducted, including expanded uncertainties, calibration ranges and the applied calibration methods.
