Varaždin Literary Circle (Summary)

Abstract

In the article author is trying to define term Varaždin literary circle and analyze works of its members along with overview of works that were made about the same members. Along with the definition of the term Varaždin literary circle, the author places it in the time and place of its activity and emphasizes the importance of the circle of the same name. The emphasis is on the intellectual activity of the network and the contribution of its members to Croatian literary culture. The aim of this work is to critically define the activity of the intellectual network as a historical phenomenon and to position it with regard to Protestantism and place it in a wider European context.
