Abstract

At the Second Vatican Council dialogue was promoted as the key
concept of christian revival and the new face of Church. However,
dialogue was established only with the present time, vvhich has
turned out to be inadequate, because history has always and without
fail put a pressure on the present time. That's why the present pope
John Paul II has been insisting on forgiving and memory cleansing as
conditions for useful and efficient dialogue with the present. In the
text, exactly the parts from papal documents and speeches, refering
to historical memory cleansing, are given. In the end, an outline of
our situation is set out, as well as the evil memories in our history
which should be cleansed by goodness and forgiving.
