Media Research is the first Croatian journal for journalism and the media. Its aim is to promote the theory of journalism by stimulating various type of research in the media. The Journal is indexed in Sociological Abstracts (SA), Linguistic and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) and Social Planning/Policy & Development Abstracts (SOPODA), Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE), SCOPUS and it is listed in The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Articles published in Media Research are available in the open access data base HRČAK - The Portal of Scientific Journals of Croatia (MZOS, Srce i HIDD; http://hrcak.srce.hr/?lang=en). The journal has the further aim of becoming a forum for the presentation and exchange of different national experiences in the media, theoretichal schools and concepts and of new media phenomena. The journal will publish theoretical contributions, empirical research, book rewievs, symposia proceedings, as well as information on international education programs and schools in the field of journalism and communications. Media Research is oriented towards researchers and students of public communications, as well as other interested members of the general public. The journal will be published twice yearly. The journal actively encourages and welcomes the cooperation of authors, of differing scienfic profiles, particulary young scientist working empirically or theoretically in televison and radio, for printed journals, or in order kinds of public communication. We cordially invite you to join us in our efforts to create a new and challenging Croatian journal, and to send us your contribution. For insuring scientific excellence, all manuscripts undergo a two double-blind peer review. The journal charges publishing the paper.
