Etnološka tribina is a peer-reviewed journal of Croatian Ethnological Society. It covers a range of subjects in ethnology and cultural anthropology, folklore, museum and conservation studies that are stemming from social and cultural contemporaneity. Etnološka tribina publishes research papers, review articles, debates and book reviews. Etnološka tribina promotes critical thinking and innovative writing in ethnography and cultural anthropology related to Eastern Europe and post-socialist countries. In the pursuit of authors that experiment with new conceptual tools in qualitative research and follow emergent paradigms in cultural anthropology, Etnološka tribina encourages researchers to submit analytical and reflexive papers that would show their sensibility to grasp the complexities of contemporary social and cultural worlds. It represents a forum for different ethnological strands and has been bound to promote cultural anthropology. To that extent Etnološka tribina welcomes papers that would bring up challenging, innovative and conceptually rigorous research in both new epistemological framework and methodological tools of ethnology and cultural anthropology. Based on such premises Etnološka tribina has focused on topics such as: post-socialism, transition, migration, identity, medicalization of healthcare, heritage protection, indigenous rights and documentary film making, religious place-making, ethics, neoliberalism, economic crisis among others.

Etnološka tribina is strongly committed to hold the highest standards of ethics and responsibility in editing the Journal. Etnološka tribina follows WAME standards i.e. Ethical Standards as well as COPE Standards recommended by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia (https://mzo.gov.hr/istaknute-teme/znanost/znanstvena-infrastruktura/znanstveno-izdavacka-djelatnost/146). Etnološka tribina emphasizes its dedication to detect any (suspected) duplicate submission and plagiarism in academic writing. The review process of the manuscripts submitted to Etnološka tribina involves an internal editorial board review and at least two external blind-reviews. Upon submission the author will be notified within 30 days whether the paper will be processed and sent to an external review. All manuscripts undergo several cycles of reviews and revisions. In average it takes up to 4 months for the final decision on the acceptance of the paper. Once accepted, the paper will be given a publishing date. Please note that Etnološka tribina has built up a considerable backlog of accepted articles. This means that even after a paper has been accepted it will take some time before its publication.
