Sažetak
This paper examines Keilbach’s account of the principle of causality, as presented in his philosophical work The Problem of God in Philosophy. The initial chapter presents an overview of the current state of research on the philosopher William Keilbach. The following is a list of all the works that have been published to date about this philosopher. The second chapter provides a concise overview of Keilbach’s life, work and creativity, based on secondary literature. The third chapter of the paper presents the principle of causality as defined by Vilim Keilbach. The argument commences with the assertion that the principala of causality is a fundamental tenet of any proof of the existence of God. Consequently, it is of the utmost importance to be able to defend this principle and demonstrate its universality and objectivity. Keilbach rejects the opinions of Nicolas of Autrecourt, Immanuel Kant and David Hume and accepts and analyses the philosophical opinion of Joseph de Vries. Similarly, he unwaveringly upholds the analytical import of the principle of causality. In conclusion, Keilbach posits that the knowledge that God exists based on the principle of causality is both possible and justified.
