Novosti in Turbulent Times – How the Bulletin Endured the Challenges of Time

Abstract
Purpose. The aim of the paper is to analyse the development and transformation of CLA News, the bulletin of the Croatian Library Association, and its role in professional communication and librarian community networking.
Approach/methodology. A qualitative content analysis of structure and editorial
practice is employed, with a retrospective overview of issues and previous editorial
experiences.
Findings. The bulletin has demonstrated continuity and adaptability despite financial and
organizational limitations, largely thanks to the persistence and engagement of its editors
and contributors.
Originality/value. This article provides a systematic overview of a key communication
platform within the library profession and highlights its value for strengthening
professional identity and information flow.
