The Journal’s management is structured as follows:

  • Editor-in-Chief
  • Editorial Board
  • Language editors
  • Oversight Board

All manuscripts/papers go through a double-blind peer review. Most of the reviewers are from Croatia, while some are from the surrounding countries (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina). After going through an intramural review (the Editorial Board), the manuscripts/papers are sent to external reviewers in order to maintain objectivity, quality and a high level of scientific and professional standards the Journal seeks to promote. By communicating with the Editorial Board, the Author needs to fulfill all the requirements set forth by the reviewers, or the Author needs to argument why he thinks such corrections as proposed by the reviewers are unnecessary. If this obligation is fulfilled, the Author will be informed that his paper/manuscript was accepted and is being prepared for publishing (language editing, graphic design, editorial process). When the paper/manuscript is published online, the Author will be informed and will receive a link to it (and eventually, the printed version of the Journal, if it is possible (shipping expenditures, complications, etc.)

The preferred citation styles are APA (7th edition - https://apastyle.apa.org/) and the Chicago Humanities Style (https://connect.ebsco.com/s/article/Citing-Articles-in-Chicago-Humanities-Style?language=en_US).

Reviews of any kind (book reviews, conference reviews, etc.) are not subject to the peer review process, but only to the intramural review of the Editorial Board. Potential authors are expected to keep in touch with the Editorial Board at all times.

Authors should disclose if there are any potential conflicts of interest concerning their manuscript/paper. They should also list any ethics approval that was necessary for their research to be undertaken. They should also note if their research was funded by any organisation and/or individual, and they should fully disclose any contribution made to the manuscript, either by other Authors or different contributors.

Depending on financial capabilities of the Publisher, each article submitted in Croatian will be translated to English and published in both languages.
