Abstract

Throughout history, there is ample scientific evidence that exercise has a positive impact on health, and
a lack of physical activity and exercise has a negative impact on health.
Health is defined as a state of complete, physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the
absence of disease or infirmity. Generally speaking, the processes that affect health can be salutogenic,
help maintain good health and aggravate the onset of disease and pathogens that act in the opposite way,
or impair health and help the onset of disease.
Physical activity has played an important role in human life and health, and since the ancient Greeks, it
has been an integral part of education. Physical activity is defined as the movement of the body with the
help of skeletal muscles with higher energy expenditure than at rest. The main effect of exercise on
health is salutogenic, it has a positive effect on the human body and soul. In addition to the physical
benefits we can get from exercise and a healthier body, there are also various mental benefits, such as
reducing stress levels, reducing the chances of mental disorders and diseases, keeping the brain more
vital, increasing hormone secretion that positively affects our health. The objective of this work is to
clarify the positive impact of exercise on human health.
