Sažetak
Spatial planning is of extreme importance for any country. Space is a limited resource which needs to be protected and used in a methodical manner. Spatial planning is an expression of conscious effort to arrange space while achieving the best possible or the least damaging way of space usage and preservation. Needless to point, these actions are especially important to physical and legal persons. It is therefore crucial to enable public`s participation in actions and procedures related to spatial planning. In this paper the author will analyse the importance of spatial planning and modes of spatial planning. Furthermore, public`s participation in reaching and producing spatial planning as well as in other processes related to spatial planning will be discussed with a special emphasis on issuing location permits.
