Abstract

The paper gives a fragmental review of some basic attitudes of Kvirin
Vasilj about the cognitive theory issues. It points out his criticism of the
philosophical tradition, particularly that of Kant, but also of other philosophers
and his own solutions. As opposed to the majority of those who
discussed the problem of cognition, Vasilj emphasizes the importance of
the intellectual intuitions as the bridge between sensual observation and
notion. He also understands the notion of experience in a different way
than Kant. Besides the analytic and synthetic cognition he also speaks
about the systolic cognition. He strictly differentiates ontology from metaphysics
and understands it as a standpoint for the cognitive theory. Ontology
is for him transcendental physics.
