The Path from Autocracy to Democracy is Blocked by Medio-cracy in Conjuction with Media-cracy

Abstract
Road from autocracy to democracy is passing by mediocracy. Transitional countries, especially post socialist, are masters in mediocrity. They know how to disguise themselves from communists to the big democrats, but being at the same time nationalists, which can turn next day to the internationalists. Mediocrities have a vital strength, they are born survivals, capable to serve with the same enthusiasm all possible leaders. They have no own ideas, but they are ready to follow ideas of the person who is in power. The media-cracy is main player in that strange transitional process. Author is comparing the media landscape in USA, where media are very developed, but having problems of corporative journalism and facing with ethical dilemmas and post-socialists countries in Europe.
