Abstract
The section Fact File is dedicated to the Thousandth Anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom held in 1925. It focuses on the celebration, and on the long preparations for that one-thousandth anniversary. The introductory text describes the historical context of the time. The diversity and controversies of those times are described, particularly through the lens of the relationship and activities of two opposing sports organisations of Croatian youth, the Eagles and the Falcons. The introductory text is accompanied with inserts from various newspapers, magazines and calendars.
