Abstract
The paper investigates the attitudes of primary education teachers towards the use of digital devices and digital educational content in the teaching of Music Culture. The research was conducted through an online survey on a sample of 370 participants, primary school teachers from all Croatian counties. The research results confirmed that the participants spend a significant amount of time using digital devices during their free time. A relatively small number of participants independently create digital educational content for teaching Music Culture. The results also confirm that the years of work experience are a significant predictor of teachers’ positive attitudes towards the use of digital devices and digital educational content in the teaching of Music Culture, but no difference was observed in teachers’ attitudes towards the use of digital devices and digital educational content with regard to attending additional music lessons. The results confirm that teachers who use digital devices during the realization of music lessons have better results in terms of attitudes towards the use of digital devices and digital educational content in Music Culture lessons, compared to teachers who do not use such devices. The authors emphasize the importance of using digital technology in the modern conception of music teaching.
