Sažetak

Encouraged by the experience with a small lexicographic project currently being developed at the Chair of Old Church Slavonic and Croatian Glagolitic Heritage at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb, based on the material of Croatian translations of the Gospels in the 16th century, we are trying to encourage the academic community to advocate for the inclusion of a proposal of efficient organization of lexicographic processing of texts of early modern Croatian literature in the National Plan of Croatian Language Policy to be proposed by the Croatian Language Council, as foreseen by the adopted Croatian Language Act. The paper discusses the need for such a dictionary, or rather, for filling a large gap in Croatian lexicography. In light of the need for cooperation with the few experts in digital humanities, including lexicography, in Croatia, such a task represents a challenge that cannot be expected to be answered in very short terms.
