Abstract
The survey conducted aimed to investigate the frequency of alcohol consumption among primary and secondary school students aged 14 to 16. It involved eighth-grade students from primary school, first and second-grade students from secondary school. The purpose was to determine whether young people recognize alcohol consumption as a problem and to understand the reasons behind their consumption. The results revealed that 90% of respondents had tried an alcoholic beverage before the age of 12, with the majority being offered their first drink by a family member. This research underscores the urgent need for discussions about addiction prevention, specifically concerning alcoholism. Many young people may mistakenly believe that occasional alcohol consumption does not lead to addiction. Based on the survey responses and analysis, educational lessons were developed, including creating posters, conducting debates, and facilitating peer education. These activities aimed to raise awareness among students about the dangers of early alcohol consumption. Students learned that alcohol consumption can lead to addiction, accompanied by family and social issues, and can severely affect an individual's health. It was emphasized that alcohol is not necessary for making social gatherings and parties enjoyable.
