Sažetak

Sustainable development topics have become a strategy in many areas of human activity, from early childhood education to STEM projects at the international level. Ecological education takes on a major role in raising the awareness of individuals and groups using green pedagogy methods. In addition to ecological education, a strategic issue is the education of future generations, who will use the acquired skills and tools to apply sustainable policies in everyday life and be active participants in environmental protection. The aim of this paper is to present an example of good practice in education for sustainable development on the methodological template of the activities of the Green Library of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. The individual implements the acquired positive values, with the acquired competencies, at higher levels of business, but still within the common core of the education system. STEM projects of the Slavonian Oak wood cluster are an excellent indicator of economic growth and development based on the cooperation of environmentally aware and educated people who have sustainable business missions and visions.
