For a humanism of future

Abstract

Our time witnesses a somewhat different approach to many spheres compared to the times past. Permanent improvement of integral, true humaism on all levels of individual and social life will always remain of the utmost importance, incorporating the achievements of civilization, both in the socio-political and in the scientific and technological fields. The depth of the crisis of contemporary man and world is reflected in the fact that many abandon ther almost messianic hope in the economy, science and technology as ways to a new civilization. If such a civilization were to be a step forward in respect of the current one, it should also include, as essential, a humanistic component among its own values. Within the general context of the history of mankind, the ultimate and greatest task of Christians, as well as of the followers of all other religions and of non-believers, is keep building in order to create together an integraly humanistic civilization and culture.
