Abstract

History of collecting and production of medicinal plants in Croatia and Bosnia and Hercegovina has been reviewed. The economical importance and the possibilities of large-scale production of medicinal plants have been discussed and the agroecological conditions for the production have been evaluated. lt is concluded that the increased production of medicinal plants in Croatia and Bosnia and Hercegovina is possible and it could be very profitable.
