Abstract

Traffic accidents involving vehicles with several people at the time of the event, some of whom fell out of the vehicle or left the scene before the crime scene investigation, are very specific. The scene of traffic accidents is usually modified due to assisting the injured. Vehicles are even further deformed by technical interventions, cutting sheet metal and other ways to access and help the "stuck" participants. The crime scene investigation and the entire criminal investigation become even more complex in cases where ambulance crews and fire brigade teams arrive and operate before the police.
It is not uncommon to lay blame for the accident on those who died in an accident or left the crime scene. In such cases it is crucial to provide answers to the questions of who and under which circumstances was driving the vehicle. In answering these key questions, the article elaborates in detail and photo-documents the principles of conducting crime scene investigations and criminal investigation in general.
