Dragan Damjanović
Abstract
This article presents Karl Rösner’s designs from 1865 and 1867 for the cathedral in Ðakovo. Rösner found direct inspiration in the Romanesque building tradition of Lombardy but he also used elements characterizing the German Romanesque style (primarily the cathedral in Speyer) as well as contemporary architecture (Altlerchenfeld church in Vienna).
