Abstract
The purpose of this research was to test the differences in selected psychological and motivational constructs among students with long-term entrepreneurial intentions and students without such intentions. Data was collected using a questionnaire filled out by the fourth year undergraduate students at the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb. The constructs comprised in this research included locus of control, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, motive of independence and motive of innovativness. The results reveal that the motive of independence and entrepreneurial self-efficacy significantly and positively influence the formation of long-term intentions of students towards an entrepreneurial venture. Future research could explore additional constructs within a more comprehensive model of entrepreneurial intentions in Croatia.
