Parthenocarpy of pear

Abstract
Parthenocarpy is fruit set and development without fertilization. With parthenocarpy at some varieties in major or smaller extent may increase yield, especially in environmental conditions and years which are not favourable for pollination and fertilization, what is significant for fruit production especially from economic position.
The article gives a survey of formation of parthenocarpic fruits as well as kind, intensity and stimulation of parthenocarpy, characteristic of parthenocarpy fruit of pear, affinity of individual varieties of pear to parthenocarpy and in the end meaning of parthenocarpy.
