Abstract
Harvesters for grape harvesting were analyzed and compared in the paper. For optimal grape harvesting, the main harvesting system as well as the mode of operation of a modern self-propelled harvester are explained. The paper also researched and processed different versions of the harvester, such as a self-propelled towed harvester and a special version of the harvester supported by the work of a winch. The paper presents some of the main parts of the harvester, the system for cleaning the leaves from the grape berries, and the auxiliary automatic control system as an important segment when performing mechanical grape harvesting. At the end, a conclusion is given and the difference between mechanical and manual harvesting is indicated, along with the presentation of numerous possibilities in working with mechanized harvesting. The analysis of construction features shows the need to use self-propelled harvesters for grape harvesting in accordance with the size of the permanent plantation, as well as previous adaptation and preparation of the terrain for optimal work. For
extremely high slopes, it is recommended to use a grape harvester assisted by a winch.
