Forgotten Name, Forgotten Deeds, Forgotten Title, Forgotten Content: Ukraina Latina of Panas Fedenko

Abstract

The article examines Panas Fedenko's textbook “Ukraina Latina” in the context of the development of the discipline of Neo-Latin studies – the first attempt to provide a review in an anthological format of synoptic information about the Ukrainian-Ruthenian ethnos. It presents the testimonies by authors from the ancient, medieval and early modern periods, expressed through a variety of genres – inscriptions, excerpts from poetic works, chronicles, epistolary genres, political agreements.
