Sažetak

The article focuses on Nada Kesterčanek Vujica, a Croatian writer, journalist, and librarian who was part of the political emigration and spent part of
her life in the United States, where she passed away in 1971 at the age of 55.
Although she had already gained recognition in Croatia for her writing, having
published two books, her contributions were largely overlooked by domestic
literary criticism after she went into exile. This neglect has persisted to the
present day. This article aims to shed light on her life and work, commemorate
her contributions, and suggest pathways for further exploration of her legacy.
The information presented is based on selected texts published about her in the
émigré journal Hrvatska revija, as well as letters exchanged with the journal’s
editor-in-chief, Vinko Nikolić. Additionally, the article includes a list of contributions that Kesterčanek Vujica published in Hrvatska revija.
