About the Journal

Child and Family in Contemporary Society is an interdisciplinary scientific journal published by the Faculty of Law Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. The main goal of the Journal is the publication of scientific research that contributes to the development of science whose focus is the child and the family, and papers that can influence changes in policies, regulations, programs, and practices relevant to the child and the family. The Journal publishes theoretical, empirical, and review papers from various fields and disciplines that analyze the concepts, development, rights, and protection of children and families such as law, social activities, psychology, psychiatry, education, sociology, political science, economics, history, religious sciences, and other disciplines.

School violence is a growing problem in contemporary society, which has far-reaching consequences for children. School violence results by the violation of numerous children's rights guaranteed by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child - first of all, it is against the provision on the prohibition of all forms of violence.
