SOCIOLOGY AND SPACE – Quarterly Journal for Spatial and Socio-Cultural Development Studies publishes only scientific papers dealing with the sociology of space (both urban and rural) and related disciplines (urbanism, architecture, social geography, demography, urban economics, urban anthroplogy, social ecology, etc.). The journal has been published in continuo since 1963 with the title RURAL SOCIOLOGY (UDK: 316.334.55:30; ISSN: 0038-0326) which is changing in 2007 with the number 175 (1), year 45 into SOCIOLOGY AND SPACE.
The articles published in SOCIOLOGIJA I PROSTOR (SOCIOLOGY AND SPACE) are indexed or abstracted in the following international secondary publications: SCOPUS, SocINDEX (EBSCO), CSA SOCIOLOGICAL ABSTRACTS, CSA WORLDWIDE POLITICAL SCIENCE ABSTRACTS, CSA SOCIAL SERVICES ABSTRACT (SELECTIVE).
Since 2009 Journal of Sociology and space has been included in the citation and bibliographic database in SCOPUS.
