The paper deals with the usucaption as a mode of acquiring right on property
in social ownership. It points to three important decisions of the European Court of
Human Rights againts Croatia that have a direct impact on the jurisprudence of the
ordinary courts in Republic of Croatia regarding acquisition of property rights by
usucaption of real property in social ownership.
