Abstract

This paper evaluates purposefulness of the rules of legislative drafting in Croatia. In the light of this aim, these rules and their implementation in the Croatian legal system are first considered. Attention is drawn to the frequent insufficiencies of the legislation and, in order to conclude if the existing rules are adequate, the mechanisms for "better regulation" in comparative law are analysed. Finally, in the conclusion, the authors highlight necessary steps Croatia should take in order to improve the drafting technique.
