Abstract

The author describes the life and work of Lucija Capan, a prominent teacher and a principal of the elementary school in Tounj. It describes her activities outside the school with the aim of improving social, health and cultural life in the Tounj area, thus justifying the reason why the elementary school in Tounj bears her name.
