Sažetak
This paper examines the impact of educational staff professional development
on the quality of the partnership between schools and parents in Bosnia and
Herzegovina. In the contemporary educational context, collaboration between
schools and families is recognized as a key factor in the success of the educational
process, but its effectiveness largely depends on the competencies
of educational staff. The research was conducted on a sample of 268 educational
staff from preschool institutions, primary, and secondary schools, using
a quantitative research design. Data were collected through standardized
questionnaires measuring the frequency and quality of professional development,
the level of professional competencies (especially communication and
social skills), and the perception of the quality of partnership with parents.
Statistical data analysis included descriptive analysis, correlation methods,
regression models, and analysis of variance (ANOVA), allowing a comprehensive
understanding of the relationships between variables. The results indicate
that continuous professional development has a statistically significant
and positive impact on the development of staff’s professional competencies,
as well as on the quality of communication and collaboration with parents.
The paper provides a theoretical contribution to the understanding of the
school-family partnership concept, as well as practical recommendations for
improving the professional development system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
