Entomologia Croatica is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Croatian Entomological Society (HED). The journal has been published since 1995. From its establishment until 2020, it was published in one to two issues per year, while since 2021 it has been published exclusively in electronic format, with one issue per year. The journal publishes original scientific papers in the field of entomology, including systematics, molecular biology, faunistics, ecology, and other related fields. On an exceptional basis, it also publishes papers dealing with representatives of other terrestrial invertebrates. In addition to original scientific articles, the journal publishes short scientific communications, preliminary communications, review articles (scientific and professional), professional articles, letters from and to the editorial office, bibliographies, biographies, editorials, curriculum vitae, case reports, essays, conference abstracts, news items, notes, obituaries, and reports on the activities of the Society. The journal's Editorial Board has an international composition, and the peer review process involves international reviewers. Articles are published in Croatian with an abstract in English or in English with an abstract in Croatian. The journal does not charge authors any fees for manuscript submission, article processing charges (APCs), publication, page charges, colour figures, or any other fees associated with manuscript submission, peer review, or publication. Articles published in Entomologia Croatica may be deposited in institutional and subject repositories, provided that links to the journal's website and the Hrčak portal are included. The journal is open access, and full-text articles are available immediately and free of charge. Published articles are available through the journal’s digital archive and the Hrčak portal. Articles published in Entomologia Croatica are cited and indexed in the international bibliographic and citation databases BIOSIS Previews, Entomology Abstracts, CAB Abstracts (CAB International), and Zoological Record.
