Entomologia Croatica is an international peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal published by the Croatian Entomological Society (CES). The journal has been published since 1995. From its establishment until 2020, it was issued in one or two volumes per year, while since 2021 it has been published exclusively in electronic format as a single annual issue. The journal publishes original scientific papers in the field of entomology, including systematics, molecular biology, faunistics, ecology, and other related disciplines. Exceptionally, papers dealing with representatives of other terrestrial invertebrates are also accepted. In addition to original scientific articles, the journal publishes professional papers, short scientific communications, review articles, comments, letters from and to the editor, bibliographies, biographies, book reviews, and reports on the activities of the Society. The editorial board is international in composition, and the peer-review process involves international reviewers. Articles are published either in Croatian with an English abstract or in English with a Croatian abstract. The journal does not charge authors any publication fees. Papers published in Entomologia Croatica may be deposited in institutional and subject repositories, provided that links to the journal’s website and the Hrčak portal are included. Articles published in Entomologia Croatica are cited and indexed in the international bibliographic and citation databases BIOSIS Previews, Entomological Records, CAB Abstracts (CAB International), and Zoological Record.
