THE INNOCENT GUILT OF THE ŠIMUNOVIĆ'S PROSE HEROES

Abstract

In the text the author aims to deal with the theme of a few formation techniques in the Šimunović's prose, particularly in the novel The Vinčić Family and the short-story Alkar. The rise, duration and fall of a family line is followed with regard to the so called ideologic heroes and lyric heroines. The text also deals with the Šimunović's settings by the method of prose- telling counterpoint using the symbolism of salvation and renewal, as well as the place of destiny ("šikzal") in the techniques of characterization.
