VALENCY AND THE SEMANTICAL CHANGES OF CROATIAN VERBS

Abstract

This paper is devoted to the relationship between valency and semantics. Three basic relationships established between changes of meaning and the changes of valency:
a/ change of meaning without change of valency,
b/ change of valency without change of meaning and
c/ change of valency and meaning.
