Abstract

Considering the fact that the juvenile legend »Kraljevo« by Miroslav Krleža is possible to connect to the »rable« and unofficial national tradition, the authoress in her paper uses Bahtin's theory concerning carnivalization of literature. Making conclusion that »Kraljevo« presents a travesty of the biblical myth concerning Jesus Crist's descent on earth, the authoress is analyzing numerous genere characteristics of the manipeic genere as a main transmitter of carnival feelings in the world revealing so deep and arche-type meaning of the drama. Putting a question, among other things, how to explain the final dramatic scene of this one-act play, she takes sides to explain the end as the beginning of a new cycle of identical or similar happenings.
